Chris and Jackie were such a wonderful couple to have on board!  After postponing their wedding for a year due to Chris’ battle with cancer, their big day finally arrived!  Jackie is an event planner herself so she made my job very easy!

On Sunday August 8, we hosted an afternoon cruise in Charleston Harbor for 80 plus children from the Epworth Children’s Home in Columbia, SC.

The children experienced firsthand Captain Bob’s responsibilities including navigating with a GPS, keeping an eye on weather with the radar and overseeing his mates on board.

“Captain Bob let us drive the boat, and we saw dolphins, birds and other people sailing.  It was fun to act like we were on the Titanic because the boat was so large and beautiful.” Brett, a current resident at the Epworth Home.

Reflecting on the children’s experience on the yacht, The Rev. John Holler, President of the Epworth Children’s Home, says “The trip broadened their horizons; it was a definite ‘wow’ experience because it was a first for so many of them.  They literally jumped up and down with squeals of delight.  I give thanks to Captain Bob and his crew for their gift to children who call Epworth home.”

On June 9 our good friends over at Duvall Catering and Event Design treated their clients to a “Summer Sips and Dips” event aboard the Carolina Girl featuring cocktail hour and a harbor cruise!

Where else can you get a view like THIS during your wedding or rehearsal dinner?!

Simple decor for the Carolina Girl is recommended because you do not want to take away from the gorgeous interior the yacht already offers!  For Heather’s rehearsal dinner, she chose bright colored linens and her mom decorated votives to place around the main dining room.

Spring is here and that means the Carolina Girl is in full swing!  Look for us cruising around Charleston harbor every week.  You can’t miss everyone on the top deck dancing and enjoying the view!

We recently entertained a corporate group from Wild Dunes.  They treated their guests to a sit down dinner and top notch bar.  A cordial station was stocked for after dinner.
